Following his last release, the amazing recording of the Chopin Scherzos, the young Macedonian pianist Simon Trpceski turns his attention to some of the more famous piano pieces of Claude Debussy. The disc includes amongst others the Arabesques, the Children's Corner Suite, Images and of course, Clair de Lune. All the notes, accents, shifts of tempo, changes in mood, etc...are all very well judged. The punchier pieces sparkle with energy and the Clair de Lune is the definition of fluidity. This talented pianist is definitely one to watch and support. This excellent Debussy collection was released in January 2008.
