PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA PHILHARMONIA CHORUS : Christa Ludwig (mezzo), Jon Vickers (tenor), Gottlob Frick (bass), 0 Walter Berry (bass baritone) - EMI 67361 Since it's releases in 1962, this performance has been a benchmark recording of colossal status. All the singers are excellent and the orchestral and choral details are focused and well defined.
